The Captain’s Canine

An early idea, shared openly. We are exploring whether parts of a harvest that people do not eat could, carefully and legally, become something useful for dogs.

No products are currently offered for sale.

Why it belongs here

The same question, one step further.

The Captain’s Canine packaging concept: a white bucket with the illustrated captain-and-dog label
Packaging concept only. No products are currently offered for sale.

When a fish is cleaned for the table, a fair amount is left over. The Captain Co. keeps asking how much value can come from one harvest before anything is called waste. The Captain’s Canine is that question applied to the leftovers.

Fish scraps that are not used for dog food are used as bait in our stone crab traps—another practical way to make thoughtful use of the harvest. The Captain’s Canine remains in development; this does not mean a dog food product is ready or available for sale.

We make no nutrition or health claims. Any future product would need qualified expertise, appropriate testing and compliance with applicable requirements. If the idea proves unsuitable, we will be open about that.
