Free Spirit Adventures trip description
Based on the official listing, with editorial updates and the captain’s harvest practices. Trip durations and prices are unchanged.
Florida law permits harvesting both legal-size claws from a stone crab. Captain Brett harvests only one, then returns the live crab to the water. Harvesting both reduces the crab’s chance of survival and slows regeneration. Choosing one is his practice, not a legal requirement.
Experience the stone crab fishery off Fort Myers Beach — a trip few, if any, other local charters offer.
Learn how the fishery works and about the other animals we find along the way. It is a good fit for kids and curious adults. Guests keep the crab claws. We cannot guarantee how many claws you will get, but the trip is meant to be fun and informative.
Optional Beach Catch & Cook — $100 extra. We crack the claws on the beach. Plates, sauce, chairs, table, and umbrella are provided.
Want a keepsake? We also make stone crab claw necklaces. See them on our website and aboard the boat.
